Busy, busy, November!

I know it has been a very long time since I've been on here. It was a super busy month for Austin. I don't even know where to begin. But you can bet that this is going to be a long blog! Austin attended another sweet sixteen party and he was the most handsomest baby boy there wearing his new outfit.

He was allowed to stay up past his bedtime and partied all night with his cousins. Well, in between a couple of naps he did. Lol. 

We celebrated Austin's 8 month birthday and his dessert this month was a slice of chocolate ganache cake from Publix. If anyone has had it before, you know it is the most amazing chocolate cake ever!

The day after Thanksgiving we took Austin to pick out his first Christmas tree.

Nana got Austin a walker and he's been mobile ever since! Austin has not gotten the hang of crawling yet but he does love being in his walker. Bumping into the walls and chasing mommy & daddy around the house and getting into trouble!

What is it with kids and boxes?? And there goes the napkins!

I can only imagine how he will keep Matt & I busy when he starts walking on his own. I really do think Austin will skip the crawling stage and head straight to walking.

I'm a big kid now!!!

Well folks, we're at the end of this journey. Not too long of a blog. I can not wait to show you all Austin's Christmas card photo. I swore to Matt I will not post the photo on FB/blog or even show anyone until we mail them all out. It's soooooo hard to keep that promise! His picture is too adorable and came out really well. 

But, I do want to share with you all Austin's Santa cookies plate that I made:

It took lots of crying but I managed to get his footprint on the plate.

First Halloween & Road trip

What a fun Halloween & busy weekend we had. I waited for months to see Austin in his Halloween costume and had plan to sit outside and give out candy. But instead Austin wore his costume for only an hour and fell asleep at 7! Out of all the nights of trying to put him down at a reasonable time for bed, the one night I wanted him to stay up late he decides to go to bed an hour early! At least I was able to get some pictures of him in his costume.

Early Friday morning Austin went on his first road trip to Orlando, FL. He was so good the entire 7 1/2 hours car ride. Thankfully most of the way he was sleeping. Matt & I were worried that we would have to stop every couple of hours because we thought Austin would get tired of being in his car seat for that long. But he proved us both wrong.

Austin got to see his GREAT grandpa this past weekend! He was so happy to see him!

Austin enjoyed spending time with all his great aunts, uncles & cousins. 

He wished mommy & daddy would've taken him to Disney World since we were right in the area, but we promised him we will take him when he's a little bit older. Here are some pictures to enjoy of his outing this past weekend till next time!

Not much to report on Austin this week. We had a better week than last. No one was sick, and Austin's eye healed up all the way. He had a fun & relaxing week. 

Nana was home on Wednesday and picked up Austin early from daycare. They had a fun day together and had a picnic outside on the deck.

Austin is getting ready to go play and meet all the neighbors at the cul-de-sac block party.

This week Austin learned how to clap his hands. He's been clapping everyday since!

Sick baby

What a week we all had. Mommy & baby were sick. Austin had his first ear infection & he also had an eye infection. I felt so helpless as a mom knowing that I couldn't take the pain away. All I can do is be there for him and give him LOTS of TLC!

Before Matt & I found out that Austin had an ear infection, his left eye was red and swollen on Tuesday morning when we fed him his morning bottle. 

It broke my heart seeing him like this :(

Austin had to go see his pediatrician 3x this past week. The first day they gave him two shots of antibiotics to help fight both infections. Well, it helped his ear but not his eye. The second day they gave him two more shots of antibiotics and because his eye was not getting any better they had to do blood work on him, which meant he had to get stuck again! Thankfully his blood work results came back good and his eye was a lot better. I must say, my little boy was a trooper!

We celebrated Austin's 7 month birthday on Wednesday. Matt & I would get Austin a birthday treat to celebrate. Lol, of course it's actually a treat for us since Austin can not have any yet. This month was a mini sweet potato pie.

He did not like the pie so much! Lol

Austin is such a big boy! We discovered he can now sit up very well. He loves to sit and play with all of his toys.

Even though Austin had a rough week, he was still a happy boy smiling and playing everyday! 

Fall Festivities

Oh boy, what a fun & exhausting weekend we had with family & friends. We kicked off the weekend with date night on Friday. Nana got to babysit Austin and for the first time he wore his pumpkin jammies!

He looked so adorable and such a big boy in his jammies. I can not believe how well he is standing up by himself. Austin enjoyed his night with Nana. 

Saturday: We took Austin to Taste of Acworth and he was so good. He enjoyed looking at all the doggies that walked by. He did NOT like the train coming through. The noise was too loud for him and he got really upset. Poor little guy :( We had to cover his ears so he couldn't hear the loud noise. Afterwards, we headed off to Berry Patch Farms and took lots of beautiful family photos. Austin was so curious about all these round orange balls everywhere, but he did good posing for the camera :)

On Sunday we took Austin to the park. I've been wanting to put Austin in the baby swing that's shaped like a bucket. He LOVED it!

Can you tell that he enjoyed it??? Austin ended his weekend spending the afternoon/evening playing with his 3 cousins. He had such a good time with all of them. He went to bed exhausted from his fun filled family weekend. Until next week, have good night ;-)
